Proprietor Adam Bousiakis credits his inspiration to years of living abroad, and brings a warm, romantic ambiance to Café XO, along with such modern touches as Wi-Fi wireless or DSL connections.Of course, you'll want to come for the coffee!
Café XO features a specially roasted, trademark house blend and all of your favorite hot and cold beverages, including frozen drinks, great pastries and desserts (many of the cakes, pies, and tortes are baked fresh on the premises), a selection of bagels and scones, fresh fruit smoothies, sandwiches, a hot soup of the day, and salads.

A ROMANTIC DESTINATION
Our coffee house has a romantic feel you're sure
to appreciate. Bousiakis, with the help of friend and architect Robert Sauvageau,
painted the walls a warm merlot red, put in a fireplace surrounded by overstuffed
chairs, maple hardwood floors, Amber Onyx high-tech lighting, DSL lines, and
decorated it with accents such as a beautiful oil painting of Venice's Grand
Canal by Novato artist George Gepaige. Little marble tabletops populate the
Café. A statue of Emperor Anthony looks on approvingly. "He was the emperor
of love because he loved poor people and loved helping people" Bousiakis
will say, when asked about the bust. Fresh flowers abound. A wide variety
of music plays on a digital sound system; from classical to swing, opera to
house, blues to French pop songs.
"This is exactly what I wanted XO to be" says Bousiakis, "like
a Venetian bistro. It's warm and cozy, and we have lots of good things to

Café XO offers "Wi-Fi", or Wireless
Fidelity service, to anyone with with a Wi-Fi enabled computer free of charge.
For about $200 you can set up your own Wi-Fi network which features a special
antenna that "broadcasts" about 300 feet. Café XO is currently
one of nine businesses in the 94114 and 94131 ZIP codes featuring Wi-Fi service.

those without a Wi-Fi connection Café XO also has two DSL-enabled computers
for high speed Internet access.
